Blu founded Termite Candy in 2024 after graduating from Harvard with a largely useless degree in Social Anthropology and Film production. He’d done DIY woodworking projects from renovating a 16-passenger school bus to turning his Bushwick rooftop into a live events space, and decided to make furniture full-time, because why not?

Termite Candy seeks to make furniture that is both playful and functional, made with real wood and by real humans. Most of the work thus far has been commission-based, and we are currently developing a collection set to launch in 2026, which will feature solid hardwood, design-forward pieces that can be shipped & easily assembled by the customer. Think heirloom-quality IKEA, but offered at a price point that doesn’t break the bank.

We are also preparing to launch 3-hour and full day workshops & retreats for companies -team-building experiences where instead of painting and sipping Pinot, you can actually build your own wine rack. Stay tuned.
